The number of active cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, remains stable, according to the daily COVID report for May 29.
There are 57 active cases in Zone 4 for the second consecutive day. Five new cases were diagnosed, but those were offset by five recoveries.

A total of 18 new cases were diagnosed in the South East region. Thirteen were in South East Zone 1, which is northwest of Zone 4.
Saskatchewan has 179 new cases of COVID-19 to report on May 29, bringing the provincial total to 46,464 cases.
One new death was reported in the 50-59 age group from the Regina zone. A total of 537 people with COVID have died in Saskatchewan.
The other new cases for the province are located in the following zones: Far North West, 5; Far North East, 5; North West, 21; North Central, 18; North East, 5; Saskatoon, 38; Central West, 2; Central East, 10; Regina, 27; South West, 11; and South Central, 19.
There are also 141 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 44,519. Nine of the recoveries are from the South East region.
A total of 1,408 cases are considered active, including 107 in the South East.
There is one person in hospital in the South East, the same number as May 28. That person is receiving inpatient care. Across the province, 113 people are in hospital, the lowest total in hospital since Nov. 28. Eighty-nine people are receiving inpatient care. Twenty-four people are in intensive care.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 129 (10.5 per 100,000).
There were 2,933 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on May 28, including 143 from the South East.
As of May 28, 10,546 variants of concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Far North West, 238; Far North East, 39; North West, 589; North Central, 449; North East, 57; Saskatoon, 1,630; Central West, 109; Central East, 587; Regina, 4,616; South West, 365; South Central, 739; and South East, 1,060. There are 68 screened VOCs with residence pending.
An additional 12,923 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 706,548.
Included in that total were 931 doses in the South East region.
Seventy-seven per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose. Seventy-one per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose. Sixty-five per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose.
