A suspect barricaded inside a residence in Windsor’s South Cameron neighbourhood Wednesday led to a five-hour standoff with police.
Several Windsor police officers, including memebers of the emergency services unit, responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Dobrich Street “in relation to an active investigation,” police spokesperson Const. Natalya Natyshak told the Star.
Police learned a firearm may have been inside and contained the residence. The force’s armoured vehicle, as well as several marked and unmarked police vehicles, were on scene.
After five hours, an adult male suspect was arrested without further incident.
Natyshak said no further information is being released at this time.
