Three of the new cases are in Alfred & Plantagenet, with the other two located in Cornwall. This brings the EOHU’s cumulative total of confirmed cases to 4,735, and the total number of active cases within the region to six.

Likely not included among these new cases was a new case disclosed by the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne on Tuesday. The EOHU’s count of cases within the northern portion of Akwesasne hasn’t changed since May 31.

None of the six cases are hospitalized for treatment, and the number of related fatalities reported by the EOHU remains stable at 111.

Ontario case data posted Wednesday morning assigned 4,614 cases to the EOHU, which has been unchanged since the weekend. The Ontario case data reflected the three cases set to resolved by the EOHU earlier this week. The new cases may appear in the Ontario data within its Thursday morning update.

The Standard-Freeholder continues to track and aggregate local COVID-19 data, which is available online here. All data in the document is current through to Wednesday.
