Uxbridge one of five places where EF2 tornadoes touched down in Ontario last week - durhamradionews.com

There wasn’t just one tornado in Ontario last week. A Western University research group says there were five, including one in Uxbridge.

The Northern Tornadoes Project says there were five EF2 twisters and one touched down in Zephyr and travelled to Little Britain, ripping off the roof of a home on the way.

That tornado had winds of up to 195 km/h.

The other twisters were in Lorneville, Dwight, Barrie and Lake Traverse, with Barrie being hit the hardest.

They all touched down between 2:30 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Thursday.
