COVID-19: Five new cases, eight recoveries - norfolktoday.ca

Five new cases of COVID-19 and eight recoveries were reported by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit on Thursday.

This brings the local active case count down to 32.

Over 159,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered to residents of Haldimand and Norfolk.

All negative cases: 62,956 

All positive cases: 2,902 (+5) 

Active cases: 32 (-3) 

Recovered: 2,816 (+8) 

COVID-related deaths: 48   

Non-COVID-related deaths: 6   

LTC Outbreaks: 1  

 

RVilla Retirement Home is currently on outbreak.
The number of residents with COVID-19 has increased to 9. 

A staff member has also now tested positive for the virus. 

 

Outbreaks listed on the HNHU website only include long term care and retirement homes. Schools and other workplaces are not included in the outbreak number.*

VACCINES   

–  154,718 doses of the vaccine have been received from the ministry.    

137,448 doses, or 88.8 per cent, have been administered locally   

61,939 individuals in the area have completed their vaccine series   

159,693 doses have been administered anywhere to a resident of Haldimand-Norfolk   

98.1 per cent of residents in Long Term Care are fully vaccinated
