COVID-19: Two new cases, five recoveries - norfolktoday.ca

The local active case count of COVID-19 is at 30 after Tuesday’s update.

The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit reported two new cases and five recoveries of the virus.

The new cases are in Caledonia and Hagersville.

On the vaccine end, over 158,000 doses have been administered to residents of Haldimand and Norfolk.

All negative cases: 62,432 

All positive cases: 2,892 (+2)   

Active cases: 30 (-3)   

Recovered: 2,808 (+5)   

COVID-related deaths: 48   

Non-COVID-related deaths: 6   

LTC Outbreaks: 1  

 

RVilla Retirement Home is currently on outbreak.
The number of residents with COVID-19 has increased to 9. 

A staff member has also now tested positive for the virus. 

 

Outbreaks listed on the HNHU website only include long term care and retirement homes. Schools and other workplaces are not included in the outbreak number.*

–  154,718 doses of the vaccine have been received from the ministry.    

136,843 doses, or 88.4 per cent, have been administered locally   

61,558 individuals in the area have completed their vaccine series   

158,571 doses have been administered anywhere to a resident of Haldimand-Norfolk   

98.1 per cent of residents in Long Term Care are fully vaccinated
