Hudson got a no-decision in Friday's 4-3 win over the Cubs, allowing three runs and one walk with four strikeouts in five scoreless innings.
Making only his second start of the season, Hudson made his case to be part of St. Louis' postseason staff with five clean innings and only 70 pitches thrown. He departed with a 2-0 lead, but Chicago eventually came back and erased the 27-year-old from the final line. Hudson will look to come back stronger in 2022 if he isn't part of St. Louis' postseason plans.
