COVID-19: Seven new cases, five recoveries - norfolktoday.ca

For the second day in a row, seven new cases of COVID-19 were recorded by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit on Friday.

Along with that, five recoveries were noted, bringing the active case count up to 34.

The new cases are out of Dunnville, Selkirk, Delhi, and Courtland.

On the vaccine end, over 172,000 doses have been administered to residents of Haldimand and Norfolk.

All negative cases: 67,919 

All positive cases: 3,037 (+7) 

Active cases: 34 (+2) 

Recovered: 2,948 (+5) 

COVID-related deaths: 48   

Non-COVID-related deaths: 7 

LTC Outbreaks: 0

VACCINES   

–  156,776 doses of the vaccine have been received from the ministry.    

144,972 doses, or 92.5 per cent, have been administered locally   

-64,433 individuals in the area have completed their vaccine series   

172,160 doses have been administered anywhere to a resident of Haldimand-Norfolk   

98.1 per cent of residents in Long Term Care are fully vaccinated
