A multi-vehicle crash near Stratford Saturday morning sent five to hospital, including a woman with life-threatening injuries, plus two children.

Stratford police, Perth County paramedics and firefighters from Perth East stations in Sebringville and Shakespeare, with assistance from St. Marys, responded to the collision shortly after 10:41 a.m. on Road 130 and Line 20 in Perth South.
Police are still investigating the crash, which closed Perth Line 20 from Road 125 to Road 134, as well as Perth Road 130 from Line 16 to 26 for several hours.
Police believe one of the three vehicles involved in the crash sped through a stop sign at Line 20 while heading north on Road 130. That vehicle collided with a vehicle headed east on Line 20 approaching the intersection. Due to the severity of the impact, police said a third vehicle headed west collided with the vehicles in the initial collision.
Emergency members and bystanders responded and provided immediate aid, police said. A female driver was airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London with life-threatening injuries, while all other occupants were taken by ambulance to Stratford General Hospital.
Three have since been treated and released, including one of the children, while the other child was taken to Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre as a precaution, police added.
No update was immediately available on the condition of those taken to London.
