There have now been 73,350 reported cases of COVID-19 in the province; 4,294 cases are currently considered active and 68,287 cases considered recovered.
More than one-quarter (29.2 per cent) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
More than one-quarter (27.0 per cent) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
As of Oct. 14, a total of 335 individuals are hospitalized, including 260 inpatient hospitalizations and 75 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 335 patients, 251 (74.9 per cent) were not fully vaccinated.
There are 33 new cases to report today in NITHA communities.
Twenty-four (73 per cent) were unvaccinated, five (15 per cent) are partially vaccinated and four (12 per cent) were fully vaccinated.
There are 270 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.
These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), two; Far North West, 37; Far North East, 166; North Central, 56; and North East, nine. There have been 6162 cases (95 per cent) have recovered, and nine people are being hospitalized.
No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the Athabasca Health Authority (AHA) on Oct. 13. Following two recoveries, there are now three cases still active as of that time with three in Fond Du Lac including one hospitalization.
