1 — Watch a virtual chamber music concert

The Singing Spirit is a performance by violinist Kerry DuWors and pianist Katherine Dowling, celebrating love and friendship. The concert is presented in support of the Ritornello Chamber Music Festival, which is on hold due to the pandemic. It features songs by Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms. Streamed live from Glass & Lumber on Feb. 17, the concert is available for online viewing until March 3. Learn more at ritornello.ca.

2 — Attend a winter festival

Wanuskewin’s Nutrien Kôna Winter Festival is a one-day festival celebrating Indigenous culture. Indoor and outdoor activities include dogsledding, snowshoeing, a Tipi Village fireside gathering, scavenger hunts, dancers and drumming, and cultural exhibits. The festival is held at Wanuskewin Heritage Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn more at wanuskewin.com.

3 — See a live chamber music performance

Elixir Ensemble performs Two Tales of Russia, with trios for violin, cello and piano from Russian composers Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich. The concert is Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Anglican Church. Learn more at elixirensemble.com.

4 — Participate in the Wintershines festival

Nutrien Wintershines starts Saturday and runs to Feb. 26 around the city and online.
