A drug trafficking investigation in Fort McMurray has ended with seven people charged with related offences, including two people wanted by police.

Wood Buffalo RCMP said in a Feb. 2 statement that on Jan. 25, officers seized more than 60 grams of suspected cocaine, more than $41,000, two firearms, ammunition and items police say are connected to drug trafficking.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), the detachment’s drug section and crime reduction unit, general duty officers and the police dog unit were also part of the search and investigation.
Shane Lawrence Brazil, 30, of Spruce Grove has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and careless use of a firearm.
Scott Harrison, 26, of Edmonton and Saltcoats, Sask. residents Gary Reid, 51; Destiny Reid, 43; and Daylon Vangen, 22; have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and careless use of a firearm.
Police are looking for Alexander John Cull, 36, of Spruce Grove and Zachary Patrick Gallant, 32, of Edmonton. They have been charged with trafficking cocaine.
Brazil, Harrison, Vangen, and Destiny and Gary Reid have been released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Feb. 22.
