CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois State Football will continue to maintain its television footprint in the Chicago media market with a new five-game agreement between Redbird Sports Properties and Marquee Sports Network to broadcast five of the six ISU home games during the 2022 Redbird football season. All contests will also be simulcast live on ESPN3/+ as part of the Missouri Valley Football Conference's broadcast agreement.

"We are thrilled to continue to have Illinois State Football broadcasts aired live on Marquee Network this fall," Illinois State Director of Athletics Kyle Brennan said. "Having our games on in the Chicagoland area, as well as parts of Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin, helps us connect with our Midwest alumni and showcase Redbird Football to potential recruits. That type of exposure is crucial to the success of the football program and the department, and we look forward to fans tuning in to support our student-athletes and coaches when they can't be in the stands at Hancock Stadium."

Broadcasts will include the team's home opener against Valparaiso on September 10 (6:30 p.m.), its annual Mid-America Classic contest against Eastern Illinois on September 17 (6:30 p.m.), its Family Weekend contest against Southern Illinois on October 1 (6:30 p.m.), a November 5 tilt against Youngstown State (2 p.m.) and the regular-season finale against Western Illinois on November 19 (Noon). ISU's Homecoming contest against South Dakota on October 15 (2 p.m.) will be carried exclusively on ESPN3/+ as part of the Missouri Valley Football Conference network package.

"We're happy to add Redbird football back into our fall lineup this year, bringing together ISU fans and Cubs fans for full Saturdays of live sports on Marquee Sports Network this September, and continued coverage of ISU all season long," Marquee Sports Network Director of Programming Allison Bertucci said.

Marquee Sports Network is the exclusive home for Chicago Cubs baseball, as well as a proud broadcast partner of the 2021 WNBA Champion Chicago Sky. In addition to providing live coverage of Cubs and Sky games, Marquee Sports Network features extensive pregame and postgame Cubs coverage, local college sports programming like Illinois State and unique programs and documentaries geared towards sports fans.

Debuting in February of 2020, Marquee Sports Network earned three Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards in 2021, recognized for Outstanding Achievement in a Live Sporting Event, Outstanding Achievement for a Sports Documentary and Outstanding Achievement for a Sports Interview/Discussion.

Marquee Sports Network is available within the Chicago Cubs home television territory as determined by Major League Baseball, currently carried by more than 50 cable providers in portions of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin, as well as on the streaming platforms DIRECTV STREAM and fuboTV.
